Updates to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy

We’re writing to let you know that we’ve updated the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy that cover Todoist. The new versions will go into effect on May 25, 2025.

We’ve made these updates in order to:

Clarify our data lifecycle and ownership policies, particularly how shared projects work and what happens to your data when an account is deleted.
Introduce clearer retention periods for your data and content, with specific timelines for different scenarios.
Enhance our data management practices with more detailed information about how different types of content are stored and processed.
Add information about our use of AI technologies in our services, including details about the models we use and how your data is handled.
Todoist’s AI features use models including (but not limited to) Meta’s Llama and Anthropic’s Claude. These models are hosted on our own servers to protect your privacy. Your data is not shared with these providers.
Improve language throughout for clarity and readability.

You don’t have to do anything to accept these changes. By continuing to use Todoist after May 25, 2025, you’re agreeing to the new Terms of Service and Privacy Policy policies.
